Hello,

 

Thank you for wanting to know a little more about me. Hello, my name is Tierra Drake, the photographer behind PyT Portraits.

In December 2020 I moved to Coweta, Oklahoma with my husband, daughters, son, and our 2 dogs. I grew up in Salina, Kansas, and could not wait to get out of there. However, being from the Midwest has given me a small-town type of love for the community and the little things. What I have learned is that Coweta, Oklahoma is definitely home and feels very small town, which I absolutely love.

Almost 20 years ago is when I started shooting. My first “photography” job was a baby photographer in a hospital in Kansas. I somehow ended up at Sears Portrait studio (yes, that long ago) and my love for taking pictures just escalated from there. Now I can rattle on forever about my life before during and for a few years after PyT but you probably don’t want to read all of that. However, if you are curious, we can chat about it anytime.

I don’t like just taking pictures I like creating memories and telling YOUR story. As a parent I understand how photo sessions can be stressful. As a photographer, the craziest thing to do is take pictures of your OWN children. There is not a session I will take, even a mini session, without a consultation.
